UWC Mostar offers:

Currently, the following positions will be available in the academic year 2026-2027, for the period of one year, starting from August 2026:
1. Teacher of IBDP Spanish B and Spanish ab initio, a full-time position on a fixed-term contract, as maternity leave replacement until 31st July 2027.
2. Teacher of IBDP Spanish B and Spanish ab initio, a part-time position on a fixed-term contract (the exact number of hours will be determined later).
3. Teacher of IBDP Economics, a full-time position on a fixed-term contract.
4. House Parent, two full-time positions on a fixed-term contract.
(Additional House Parent positions may be available from August 2026; this will be confirmed closer to the end of the school year.)
TEACHING POSITIONS
Minimum Qualifications for all teaching positions 1-3:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree (minimum 4 years) in the respective subject or related field (240 ECTS).
- Proven fluency in English with strong oral and written communication skills.
- IT skills: ability to use and leverage technology for the teaching and learning process.
- A minimum of 1 (one) year of relevant work experience.
Other desired qualifications for all teaching positions:
- Commitment to UWC’s mission and values.
- International mindedness and the ability to work well in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to develop good relationships within a team and work positively and constructively with others.
- Willingness to engage students beyond regular classroom hours.
- Ability and willingness to actively participate in the school’s Co-curricular program.
Qualifications for all teaching positions that would be an advantage include prior work experience at United World Colleges or IB schools and professional teaching qualifications.
Teacher Job Description/Responsibilities
HOUSE PARENT POSITIONS
Minimum qualifications:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Psychology, Pedagogy, Social Work, Healthcare, or another subject with a pedagogical component (240 ECTS);
- Fluent in English;
- IT skills.
Qualifications that would be an advantage:
- Passed First Aid Course.
- Previous relevant work experience (welfare and care for children).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Interest in working with students ages 16-19.
- Teamwork.
- Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise urgent tasks.
House Parents can perform their role full-time or part-time (up to 50% commitment). A part-time House Parent performs the same duties but has corresponding time commitments as compared to a full-time House Parent.
House Parents live in the residence with a separate apartment provided. There is a different accommodation arrangement for the part-time House Parents.
