Through our work in the Western Balkans, we witness the gradual shrinking of the civic space and the different risks and threats facing progressive organisations and activists. We have decided to commission the attached piece of research to find out how the funding ecosystem is responding to these trends and map existing sources of emergency support for civil society organisations and activists. The results of the research will be shared with the organisations we support on internal strengthening and will feed into our reflections regarding the adaptation of our grant-making.
